Weekend Pave-A-Thon Operations to Impact Commute

Attention Las Vegas drivers: prepare for major traffic disruptions this weekend as the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) implements a full closure of Interstate 15 near the resort corridor.

The closure is part of the ongoing Pave-A-Thon operations, a large-scale project to repave and maintain Nevada's roadways.

The following closures will be in effect:

• All lanes of I-15 from Sahara Avenue to Tropicana Avenue will be closed from Saturday, August 12th, at 10:00 PM to Sunday, August 13th, at 5:00 AM.
• The closure will affect both directions of travel.
• Detours will be in place.

NDOT urges drivers to plan ahead and allow extra time for their commute. Alternate routes include using 215 Beltway or local roads.

The full closure is necessary to safely and efficiently complete the pavement work, which will improve road conditions and enhance safety for all drivers.
