Historic Race Rescheduled Due to Weather
Rain Delays Inaugural Race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Indianapolis, IN - The highly anticipated 25th Brickyard 400 NASCAR Cup Series race, originally scheduled for Sunday, July 30, has been postponed to Monday, July 31, due to inclement weather. This marks the first time in the race's history that it has been postponed to Monday.
The decision to postpone the race was made by NASCAR officials after heavy rain and lightning made track conditions unsafe for racing. The race is now scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Monday, weather permitting.
NASCAR fans and race enthusiasts alike are eagerly awaiting the rescheduled event, which will feature some of the biggest names in stock car racing. Among the drivers expected to compete are Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, and Denny Hamlin.
