WEB Nancy Ruth Mace (born December 4, 1977) is an American politician who has been the U.S. Representative for South Carolina's 1st congressional district since 2021.
Mace made history as the first woman to graduate from The Citadel in 1999 and later became the first Republican woman elected to Congress from South Carolina.
On Tuesday, Mace defeated a well-funded primary challenger, putting her on track to win re-election in November.
Mace is one of the few Republicans who voted against Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House in 2021.
